When I started building this site, some of the pictures I wanted to use were darker than I would have liked. I used Adobe Lightroom to brighten the 2 pictures below … which brought out an astounding amount of detail. The slider on each photo lets you slide between the original & the brightened versions. I’m embarrassed to admit that until I brightened the picture of the reading room at the Churchill Archives, I had forgotten about the bust of Winston Churchill that overlooked my chair where I was about to get to work. The enhanced details in the brickwork and the roof of Chartwell make an incredible difference in that picture, and helped make me a raving fan of Lightroom.
